About Xaro Lodge
Xaro Lodge combines fine dining with sustainability. Every day, the chefs source the freshest local produce to create delicious menus. Xaro Lodge offers river views, accommodation, an outdoor pool, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. In keeping with its natural tropical surroundings, Xaro Lodge has been designed to be unobtrusive.
Game Viewing at Xaro Lodge
The region is particularly good for tiger fishing and for bird watching including African skimmers, egrets, herons and quite a few of the kingfisher family. The camp specialises in birding and fishing safaris. Bird watching is outstanding in the region amongst the tall, shady, riverine forests and many resident and migratory birds can be seen along the river. Fishing trips are offered by motorboat with expert guides, species available include: barbel (catfish), bream and the famous tiger fish.

River views
There are nine Luxury Meru Tents, all with private entrances and verandas overlooking the river. Each luxury riverfront room has an en-suite bathroom and is raised on wooden decks. With the large glass sliding door, one can view the sunrise from the comfort of one's bed. For those who rise early, the golden tinges of sunrise are a magnificent sight. Each tent is equipped with a private deck and has a separate shower and toilet.
