Camp Linyanti offers an authentic safari experience in one of the most remote and revered corners of the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Catering for intrepid explorers and safari-goers with a sense of adventure, Camp Linyanti is ideal for guests who want to focus more on quality safari experiences than luxuries. Camp Linyanti is situated in a prime game viewing area known for its dense population of elephant, sable, big cat predators, and other migratory species. The landscape is characterised by swampy floodplains where the Chobe and Linyanti Rivers meet, while the camp itself rests comfortably on the seasonal Linyanti River.
Renown for being an authentic Botswana bush camp, Camp Linyanti certainly has that archetypal safari atmosphere. Ideally located on a private stretch of land right on the Linyanti River, the camp couldn’t be better positioned. The main area is built on extensive wooden decks that overlook the lagoons, waterways, floodplains, and the inimitable Caprivi Strip. Evening meals are a protracted affair and take place outdoors on the deck, under the stars. The dining deck overlooks a game-rich lagoon which sees wildlife putting on a show for guests during their meal times. After an evening under the stars, visitors are encouraged to retire to the boma area to enjoy time around the roaring campfire.
This quiet corner of Chobe National Park is a sought-after safari destination for elephant herd sightings. It is - arguably - home to the largest population of elephants in the world. The wetland ecosystem comprising floodplains, rivers, lagoons, and marshlands gives rise to a veritable wetland paradise. During the dry winter season wildlife flocks to this region in search of water sources, making it the ideal place to spot predators.
Chobe National Park is the country's oldest safari regions and offers some of the best game viewing in Botswana. Compared to other safari hotspots, the Linyanti region remains fairly undiscovered. Wildlife enthusiasts seeking a memorable safari experience that enhances their understanding of the wild, should stay at Camp Linyanti.

There are usually 2 game drives per day that take place in open-air modified game viewers. Mornings start off with an early wake-up call and optional coffee. The drive follows a meandering route across riverine forests and floodplains in search of predator activity. Game drives normally last about 3 hours. Upon return, a sumptuous breakfast is served at camp. Most of the day is spent birdwatching from camp or simply lounging around in the breathtaking surrounds. Later afternoon game drives cross over into the evening, where exquisite sunsets can be enjoyed. During the evening game drive, safari-goers can enjoy an obligatory sundowner stop at a carefully selected location.
